Airport Committee Meeting

Tue, 07/28/2020 - 6:00pm

The Seaside airport committee will meet at 6:00 P.M. This month's meeting will be at the airport, 2797 Highway 101 North, Seaside, with plenty of room to spread out and masks required.

Seaside Municipal Airport is owned and operated by the city of Seaside, Oregon. The city's Public Works director serves as the airport manager, and routine maintenance is handled by the city's street department.

An airport advisory committee, consisting of nine members of the community appointed by the city council, acts as an advisory body to the council, city manager and city staff on issues regarding airport planning, safety, and other issues. The committee currently meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) at 6:00 P.M. at the Council chambers in Seaside City Hall, 989 Broadway. Meeting times and dates are subject to change; check this website or  contact Seaside City Hall to verify meeting dates/times/locations. All meetings are open to the public.

Upcoming Meetings

The next airport committee meeting will be on Tuesday July 28, 2020, 6:00 P.M. at the Seaside Municipal airport. The meeting will be held out on the ramp or inside an open hangar, with plenty of space to spread out. Masks will be available or you can bring your own.

The airport committee meeting is this coming Tuesday July 28 at 6:00 PM. As discussed in June, the meeting will be at the airport, outside. Masks are not required as long as we can get good distance, but of course feel free to wear one if you feel more comfortable doing so. And if we get too many people to be able to hear each other without spacing, we'll need to mask up anyway. Alternately, you can join remotely via Google Meetings using this link:

June minutes and July agenda are attached, along with the highlighted FAA Airport Sponsor Assurances that we've talked about at previous meetings. I put it on the agenda this time, please read it and bring any thoughts or questions.
