OCTOBER 19, 2021.  See Tom Horning's Presentation from October 12, 2021. This familiar topic was presented by local geologist Tom Horning.  He talks about the geology of the Cascadia Subduction Zone in 2021, earthquakes and tsunamis, how they happen, how often they happen and how you, your family and our community can be better “tsunami-prepared.” This event was hosted by the City of Seaside CERT team.

The presentation was hosted by the City of Seaside CERT team.  The goal of the Seaside CERT program is to create a culture of preparedness by increasing the knowledge and skills that the citizens need to safely handle disaster and emergency situations through training and education.The CERT program trains volunteers to prepare for the types of disasters that their community may face.
