Road and Traffic Info for SHS Graduation Procession

Road Closure

Seaside, Ore. – June 10, 2021 – Beginning at Noon TODAY, Broadway Street (between Holladay and the Seaside Turnaround) will be closed to all vehicle traffic so the street can be cleared and prepared for tonight’s Seaside High School Graduation ceremonial parade.

The city parking lot at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center will be closed all day (beginning at 8 a.m.) in preparation for parking of the same ceremony.

The graduation procession begins at 5 pm at the Seaside School Campus, traveling westbound on Spruce, northbound along Wahanna and then west on Broadway to the Seaside Turnaround.  Broadway vehicle traffic will likely reopen fully around 7 or 7:30 p.m.

•    Additional road closures include a portion of Wahanna (between Broadway and Spruce) from 5 to 5:20 p.m., Holladay Drive, Columbia Drive, Edgewood, and Franklin.
•    Highway 101 (Roosevelt Drive through Seaside) at the Broadway intersection will be closed for approximately 15-30 minutes (from 5-5:30 p.m.). Expect delays.
•    If you must travel north or south through Seaside between 5:15 and 6 p.m., vehicles are advised to use Wahanna Road. Northbound traffic should plan to turn from Highway 101 onto Avenue S while Southbound traffic should exit Highway 101 at Lewis & Clark Road to access N. Wahanna Road.

The event will be streamed live via YouTube (https://bit.ly/3glhvIq). Thank you for understanding and support of the Seaside High School Class of 2021.
