SEASIDE, Ore. – March 8, 2024 – Seaside Fire & Rescue responded to a structure fire at 710 12th Ave. in Seaside at 3:47 p.m. on Friday, March 8.

Responders closed the street between N. Holladay and US Highway 101, as they set to work knocking down the two-alarm blaze, which had blown out windows in the building and sent smoke high into the air. By 5:33 p.m., the fire was fully contained and units began being released from the scene.

In the end, two people were displaced and a dog deceased due to the fire. Red Cross is coordinating care.

Seaside Fire received crucial mutual aid from Gearhart, Cannon Beach, Knappa Svensen Burnside, Astoria, Lewis & Clark, Warrenton, Hamlet, Elsie-Vine Maple and Olney Walluski. Medix, NW Natural, Pacific Power and Seaside Police also responded to the scene.
