Bicycle Helmets
FREE children's bicycle helmets are available at Seaside Police Department and Astoria Fire Department. Most sizes from small to large are usually available. The child and parent/guardian must be present to receive the helmet.
Car Seats
Safe Kids North Coast has a Car Seat Clinic Calendar and information about obtaining a $25 car seat for low income families. If you would like to know what kind of child restraint system your child should use, click here.
Personal Flotation Devices
Clatsop County provides recreational opportunities on and near the Pacific Ocean, Columbia River, and multiple lakes. In 2007, Safe Kids North Coast received a grant from the National Safe Boating Council to build and install 3 life jacket loaner stands. In August 2008, three additional stands were built as a senior high school project. In 2010, Safe Kids North Coast installed one stand at the Coffenbury Lake at the Fort Stevens State Park in Warrenton.

- Cullaby Lake - near the boat ramp and near the south end swimming area
