Seaside 101 - Season 2: A Podcast on Municipal Government

Seaside High School and City Podcast Collaboration Goes "Topical" for Season TwoPodcast Meeting

Following a successful first year of Podcasting about the basics of local government, Seaside High School Seniors Ryan Varozza, Abby Nofield and Brody Hillman have taken on the reigns for Season Two of Seaside 101.

The Podcast, first started in 2021 as an idea from Seaside Assistant City Manager, Jon Rahl, students Varozza, Nofield and Hillman have gone "topical" for Season Two, by interviewing a minimum of two guests per episode while taking a deep dive into topics and issues that the community is experiencing, seeing or learning first hand about.

Editing started in the winter months with the first episode of the new season dropping in early February. Just like last year's season, the students plan to enter their project into the Oregon State FBLA Competition with hopes of also taking the project all the way to the national competition later this year. Special Note: Content was recorded as guests were available and time permitted. The eight-episode season should be completed by the end of March 2023.
