Phase V: Vision Publicity and Report

“Seaside is a remarkable, culturally rich community. Our families thrive, our businesses prosper and generations of visitors create memories that last lifetimes - all in a healthy, safe and neighborly coastal environment.” - Seaside 2034 Vision Statement, adopted October 13, 2014

Seaside, Ore. - Oct. 14, 2014 - Over the past 13 months, the City of Seaside has engaged with the community through a variety of methods, including surveys, meetings, workshops, a youth summit, and a town hall. These efforts were focused on the goal of creating a community vision for our town’s future. In September 2014, Seaside’s City Council completed the crafting of our community’s official Vision Statement:

“Seaside is a remarkable, culturally rich community. Our families thrive, our businesses prosper and generations of visitors create memories that last lifetimes - all in a healthy, safe and neighborly coastal environment.”

After viewing a final presentation given by the Seaside 2034 project team, the Seaside City Council officially adopted this statement at its regularly scheduled council meeting on October 13, 2014.
